Why white men love the black woman
Ever wondered why some white guys, love black women so much?
It seems that being a white male and proclaiming your attraction to black women (not only sexually, but also romantically) may lead to a lot of controversial and dangerous things. Let’s leave the debate of why more black women may be opening themselves up to white guys. The main focus of this debate is: why some white guys are opening themselves to black women. Let’s concentrate on that.
Find your soulmate on AfroRomance
Most white males don’t feel like they are running short of white women to marry. White males just marry at high rates. So question is: Why black women? The thing is it will not be fair to bundle up black women as one since everyone is their own person… be it in appearance or personality.
However, one thing that a white male friend of mine said… and I let him get away with bundling it all up is: “We love a black woman's confidence, her tenacity and her undeniable achievements in the face of great adversity...᾿ Since this info was coming from a man, there was definitely the mention of the lips, the curves, and that wonderful skin as well.
So what about stereotypes like “black women are either sexually conservative or total sluts?" Many people give so much lip service to interracial dating sites. You would think they have never done it. But those uptight individuals are the ones that spread these stereotypes. What happened to the highly educated black woman? How about the caring, decent and involved black woman?
Probably most white guys and others are confused with the stereotypical trash people spread around and if you are one that falls for such lame ol’ lines, then you sure as hell haven’t dated a black woman.
Bottom line, you don't have to sacrifice who you are for a white guy. They will love you anyway. Just be you and open yourself up… and if you like white guys, some white guy will find you too.

Hey Friendly! How are you? I just wanted to answer your question about my picture. I hid my profile from the search a while back and I guess they just recently hid the picture as well. I stopped searching on this site a long time ago but left the pic up for just the blogging, since most people feel more comfortable with associating a face with the points made. I just changed the status so my pic will show. It should be showing again soon. I might even put a new one up since I keep stoppin in,lol. I hope you are ok. @Nawlunzguy you are welcomed!( Happy fathers day wish) Hey Petite how are ya? Speaking of pics, I love that new picture of you! You dont need any help with your hairstyles. I think the one in that pic looks great on you!

@ dannyco56 Oh I completely forgot about monsters ball. That movie was so sad. Her son was autistic and got hit by a car. Then billy bobs father killed himself. Some very tragic things happened in that movie. Those two really stuck together.

My favorite interracial couple in a movie was Ralph Fiennes and Angela Basset in 'Strange Days'. I liked the fact that Basset's character was in love with Fiennes character, but she was not pushy about it,she was his friend and accepted his short comings and bad taste in women. She was the true black strong woman!

My favorite is the couple in "Things we lost in the fire" starring Halle Berry. The main character was in an interracial marriage and lost her husband in a fire. She tries to replace his presence with his best friend and actually winds up falling in love with her ex-husbands best friend trying to help him overcome his substance abuse addiction. I enjoyed it because it shows the love between people of different races without making a big deal of them being a different race. They were friends. They were connected through a mutual acquaintance. The love is so pure and so real. The thing I like most is that they do not emphasize the sexual attraction. They emphasize the sincere concern the couple developed working through a loss. My favorite part is when she tries to get her husband's best friend to help her go to sleep the way her husband used to. She was so vulnerable but his friend, her friend did not try to take advantage of that. He also still tries to help her even though it was very awkward for him. Touching story. Has anyone seen it.

Good day all. Hope everyone is having an awesome week with fun weekend plans ahead! I thought I'd introduce a topic to the blog: "What is your favorite IR couple be it real life or movies and why?" Personally, I enjoyed the relationship that developed between Jake Sully (Sam Worthington) and Neytiri (Zoe Saldana) in James Cameron's "Avatar". Now as IR couples go, I'd say this is a pretty extreme example (human to Na'vi). In an interview Cameron stated he felt Jake and Neytiri do not fall in love right away, although the portrayers (Worthington and Saldana) did. He also said the two actors "had a great chemistry" during filming. On a side note, has anyone read, "Navigating Interracial Borders: Black-White Couples and Their Social Worlds", by Erica Chito Childs?

Yes, Friendly I agree. FDR was a Democrat who began the new Deal programs with split opposition to them. They treat the UE as though they didn't pay into it all of their working life. They did. They say they'd rather stay home than look for work. UE is not a living wage. If one goes from making $50,000 per year to bringing home UE that's more than half of the income you were accustomed to. Every time I read something along these lines I cringed and then prayed. How heartless? Our jobs are outsourced to other countries and we don't manufacture anything really anymore except cars (thus the reason for the bailout). We need jobs that can't be outsourced to other countries, which I believe is What POTUS was trying to do. Is it costly? Yes! I hear about the debt we will leave our children and grandchildren. Indeed, but how about we worry about what we need in a right-now minute? This one talking point of the GOP I can do without. I may go rogue. I think each major party in our country takes us for sheeple. They dumb us down through the media and through tabloids and grandstanding. I'm going rogue but not sure where or how!

@Sarah, thanks so much for replying. Yes, it is well known that the GOP and DEMS wanted to attach other items that would not otherwise pass onto this legislation. I do undertand your point about one bill at a time, however not now. The problem now is that it is too late and it has been said they will NOT take up this issue again. Many news outlets are carrying the story as quoted by Pelosi. Yes, politicians forget who they work for and that is the populace. There has not been a government by the people FOR the people in quite some time. All have greed and special interests. I am a Moderate Democratic all my life and don't believe in hand out programs. I do however, find it disturbing to make those people who suffer through these times as a result of bad decisions made in our capalistic society (big business) suffer while they continue to reap the rewards. Middle Class families are the backbone of this country. What are we to do without them? I have never been so disgusted and heart broken as I am today. One senator (Hatch) went so far as to say that those collecting UE should be drug tested. It is estimated that for every one job opening there are at least up to 6 candidates applying. Now I take into consideration the state in which you live. In New York, the odds are even higher. The ratio is more like 25:1 and has always been that way even in good economic times. UE in California is staggering, as is New York and other states. There are news articles afloat that many employers don't want to hire long term unemployed individuals. I have read many stories like this. Partisanship has eaten at the very core of our country and I fear nothing good will come from this. I am very politically astute and keep abreast on many issues, and this one is not good. Thank you so much for responding back. Are you enjoying yourself? It is extremely hot here in NYC. We are baking ourselves to death today. Ahhhh to be near some water like you and Scoff! Warmest regards,

True, with the exception of the attachments, I have always said one bill at a time. Just another example of our elected Rep's forgetting who they work for. Yes I'm still trying to get my thoughts togeather, on why and how I become a Republician, Scoff & I have had several discussions on this. He's more of a Blue Dog type Dem. Just dropping in to catch up on the latest, if things fall into place back home this weekend,(relief),let Scoff pamper me for a few days. Love that coffee in the morning, setting on the porch. @ Petitechick Hey girl, good to hear from you again on the board. I am a republican like Sarah. But I do agree that both parties need to be mindful and considerate of the position average and below average americans are facing in the job market. I believe in supporting all policies that will encourage employment opportunities for all citizens of America. What I would like to see is more incentives for employers who keep american citizens working, who offer jobs regardless of race, sex, or personal social preferences, and who show an increase in hiring people who would otherwise become dependent on social services. I would also like to see more employer supported training. I was asking a fastfood manager the other day about hiring my youngest daughter. He said that he didn't want to hire someone in college because he preferred workers who he could work all the time and not have to work around their schedule. This job paid minimum wage. I am sure he makes much more than that an hour. Employers need to be considerate and share the wealth with the workers. They need to understand that there is an expense with working: Childcare, gas, car insurance, car note, utilities for water and heat to take a bath (come on now). Okay, I got off the subject but I had to get that out of me. I am for more opportunities for everyone and better wages so that everyone will have a chance to push the economy forward through savings, and increase in the gross domestic product. If people earn money they can save and spend. This is all good for the economy. If the employers are selfish well, the government will not have a choice but to help people until they get a job. We republicans must remember that we started the new deal with Presidnet Roosevelt. People do have to eat and survive until they get a job. I believe that after the political war ends they will come around. But that is my opinion. I would support the citizens. Especially if the employers are not coming around. But I think that government has to see the connection between giving employers incentives to share more otherwise the taxpayer will pay.

I'm just sticking my nose in here for a quick minute to speak to Sarah. Hello Sarah hope you and Scott are well an enjoying your summer. I do hope that as a Republican, that on this day, you will break with your party and condemn what has taken place over the course of several months now with regard to the unemployed and those who are about to lose everything they have ever worked for. This is as a result of GOP not wanting to go along with House Democrats on approving a jobs bill and providing an extended lifeline to those who are unemployed through no fault of their own. Many had nothing to do with today's economic climate I'm sure. They are regular working stiffs which is the majority of American citizens. Today the bill HR4213 will be defeated as a result of th GOP's position and we have them to thank for soon to come Hooverville's much like those in the times of the nation's Great Depression. Today is one day I am truly saddened by the greed of our country, the shape it is in and the misery it is about to bestow on its own citizens. 21 million people currently are unemployed and more will come as the weeks go by and they lose their lifeline. God Bless Us All and I do hope you can agree. Many of these individuals are your constituents as well. If you feel like I do and so many other millions of Americans from all walks of life, you can make your voice known during the midterm elections. Take care and be well. To all I apologize for interrupting, but some things are just so important and I am reaching out in a moment of great sadness for our country.

Dear . . . Unfortunately, there are many myths about black people prison and intelligence. When you compare black and white people, from similar socio-economic backgrounds, intelligence tests and prison rates are within the margin of error and there is not statistical difference. Historically, speaking the Harlem school in New York used to be comparable in test scores with the best white schools in New York. @ Ms. M You asked "...Do White people have a monopoly on intelligence?..." I wanted to comment on this one of many questions you ask the board....I don't believe that white people have a monopoly on intelligence. However, based on historical points I believe that there are Darwinistic pressures that have been placed on the white community to be intellectually superior. This is a kind of socialization that began during slavery for the purpose of developing a superior nature that the early settelers believed would protect themselves from every being enslaved themselves as they had once been in Europe as peasants. Okay, I know that sounds far fetched, but it is true. Tomorrow I will post a quote from my novel by Frederick Douglass that illustrates this thought. This basically was a management task. By preventing minorities from learning to read and go to school whites got a stronghold on education early on. However, when the government stepped in and mandated that schools be desegregated and that blacks students receive an education of the same quality as the white students this gap is closing very quickly thankfully in todays society. However, at the risk of being hated I still say that black people must also increase the expectation of their family and members of the black community to expect the black people in it to get educated and to be educated and to know that they have the same capapcity to learn and be the best. We need to expect excellence. I am seeing more and more black families insisting that their children graduate highschool and go on to college. I have two daughters in college. Actually, one of them just graduated with her first four year degree in May. I am preparing my two boys also while they are small. I think that the new president and his wonderful educated outstanding wife will be excellent role models for the black community and will give us more hope of having the same level of rewards and achievements as our white brothers and sisters.

@Ms. M You have some good questions but I am not sure I am qualified to try to analize the thoughts behind those you are talking about. I will try to give you my opinion about each of te questions you posed. Your question: Why do Black people feel that if you like a certain kind of music, food, movie or other aspect of culture that you are trying to act White? My answer: It is not just black people that do this. This is what is known as stereo typing and white people do it as well. I think it is because they do not understand how you could enjoy something different when they either do not or they want you to think they do not. Your Question: Why is it that White people can be diverse politicaly Republican, Democrat whatever but Black people can only be in one party if they don’t want to be labeled a traitor to the race? My Answer: I am not sure I can answer this objectively but I will try. 1. White people have been involved in politics much longer than my dark skinned brothers and sisters. There are more of my darkskinned brothers and sisters that do have more diversified views of politics now then before and it will grow. You have to decide what is right for you. Do not let anyone tell you what to think white or darkskinned. I think also that the majority of my dark skinned brothers and sisters lean more conservative side of the Democratic party. They just do not agree with many who lead the Republican party. I do not agree with everything coming out of the Republican party but I do agree with most of it. My mother ad father were staunch Democrats but I have leanedmore to the Republican side. If you really study them they only differ on te major issues. They both want all the money they can get from you and they normally never make any signifacant changes for fear they will lose support if they mess up. The Democratic party just changed that line of thought. They just pushed through some major changes in the healthcare of people in this country and we will not really know if it is good or bad until after 2014. But they did something major and controversial. They stepped up only time will tell if what they did will really help those it was supposed to help. Your Question: Why is it that in highschool if you were smart and used good English it was said you were trying to act White? My Answer: I don't know for sure but I want to say that you are going outside the norm for those who are trying to box you in or in other words stereo typing. It is a way of exerting control but not directly. Your Question: Do White people have a monopoly on intelligence? My Answer: Absolutely not! You are very intelligent! You are seeking more understanding and knowledge and do not ever stop. If you check I think you will find that all races have contributed some pretty amazing things in the history of the United States. That is what has helped this country to become a great nation. All coming together for the common good. Your Question: Black men date and marry White women, why do Black women have to put up with the disrespect, abuse, and unfaithfullness of Black men? My Answer: You do not have to put up with disrespect from any man darkskinned or white man. And don't you ever put up with it. No man has the right to disrespect, abuse, or be unfaithful to a woman. Your Question: When you eliminate the gay, married, imprisoned, unhealthy mentally or physically and just plain lazy and shiftless how many Black men are there for Black women to choose from? My Answer: I do not know, but I do know that it does not matter what the color of a mans skin is as to the capacity for the man to love. Love is blind! When you meet the right man you will know and it will not matter. Your Question: Should we stay in a destructive relationship with a Black man who won’t change after years or go into a relationship with a healthy individual who loves and cherishes us? My Answer: No! Again Absolutely not! You should not stay with any man in a destructive relationship if he will not change. There are men from every race who have the capacity to love and cherish you. There are also men in every race that can create unhealthy and destructive relationships. I would tell you not to accept it from any man. If he will not get help then do not stay. Help! Anyone else care to address these very good questions? God Bless! Danny

Good day all. Hope everyone is well. Quick question for everyone... the post from @asuprey just appeared in the blog (for me). Is anyone else experiencing major delays (that they notice) in the appearance of posts? Had it not been for @dannyco56's "welcome message" I would have missed the post from @asuprey altogether! @asuprey - Welcome! I'll reiterate what @dannyco56 has already stated: you have the right to be happy; select & choose a person that will compliment your personality traits and lifestyle. @Ms. M - I read your post and comments with great interest. I concur; every relationship should be a healthy one, regardless of the race-cultural of the partner chosen. @friendly13 - you comment "your white (k)night will find you." I have participated in a number of renaisance faires throughout the Gulf South over the years and possess a few pics of me in armor. I just lack the stallion to come galloping up to your door... LOL OK, back to work for me. I'll check in later. Take care everyone!

@ asuprey On 22 June 2010 you commented "hope i can meet a nice white man someday. kind of hard since all the black men around me think that is unacceptable. they think black women only belong to black men" Don't worry, your white man will find you. All you have to do is be open and don't think about black men and their hang ups. They will do anything to distract you and keep you from your blessing. But, I honestly believe that the black men who try to stop black women from dating white men are very few in number. The majority of black men are too much into their own thing and don't really care what other people are doing. I think most of them will be happy that we are not uptight about them chosing white women. I think they will be glad to see us open our horizons just like they have opening themselves up to new options. Become a member of the sight and your white night will find you. All you will need to do is chose which one you want.

Good for you Dannyco56!Black women should not accept less than the best anymore! I know there are good Black men out there, but it is hard to find one to relate to without them accusing you of trying to "act" a certain way. @ Mia Hey girlfriend, good to hear from you. Thanks for the compliment Nawlunzguy. @ Tom4blaq you said "I find many Black women much more discerning and have higher standards for what they want in a mate. Curves, no – other women have them too. Loyalty, no – other women can be just as loyal. It is your attitude of doing what you have to do and often times having to make do with what you have. I also love that you come in many beautiful shades. In my opinion, it doesn’t get any better than that!" Thanks for sharing your thoughts on why you prefer the black women along with the other white brothers on here. Well, my son is kicking me off the computer because he wants to play fusion fall. ttyl.

@ Scoff/Sarah You know I am a black woman and I also am aware of some of the history about white men and black women during the slave age in the U.S. I also am aware that all white men were not brutal to their slaves. There were times when black women fell in love with white men. Harriet Tubman tells the story about her life and how her master took advantage of her. Her greatest hurt was that she believed it was wrong to have an affair with a married man and she resented him for forcing her to sin. But she did intentionally take a white lover and had children by him instead of her master who had a house built for her so that he could sneak off from his wife to be with her. Harriets story shows that while there were relationships of exploitation there were also times when black women and white men did fall in love and have consentual relations as well. This just goes to show that there are no sweeping generalizations that can be made. There are people who have high morals (white, black, asian, other) and there are people who lack moral character. Reality it love causes people to suffer whatever just so they can be together. I think your story is sweet and I am glad you shared some if it. So many people want black women to think that IR relationships is something we are just being introduced to when this is something that has been a part of our history and all of it is not rape and exploitation. People have to remember that white men were also restricted. If they wanted to be with a black woman there was a time that society said no. Some of them had to suffer because of what their heart felt. Frederick Douglass shares in his writing about the attraction that the white masters had for the black women. He make not qualms about it. Some of it was lust and some of it was love. Both black and white men are capable of feeling this. This is why I don't trip about the thought that a white man could have feelings for me. I am glad that we are getting to a time when white men are taking more risks and reaching out and approaching us more openly and freely.

@Tom4Blaq It is good to hear or read that someone may have found that one for their lives. I hope it works out well. Did you meet her on this dating site? If so and all works out well maybe we can read about another success story. I am happy for you! God Bless! Danny

Good Morning all, @friendly13 I you are going to post something long I would do it on word and save it ad then copy and paste it. @Nawlunzguy I have been reading your responses and posts and pretty much agree with you on everything. It was and is good to have someone else who will support the Beautiful ladies on here. @Scoff/Sarah Sarah I understand yor hesitation to open pandora's box (Politics) or (Religeon). But as it relates to stereo typing people and your story of an incident that happened to you I think all would understand. I a conservative myself and have voted republican in the last few elections. I also can relate to how difficult it must have been for you and Scoff during that time period as I am not far behind you both. I was in high school in the later 60' and would have graduated in 71. Enjoy both of your stories and admire both of your strength and conviction. I have to go now but will be looking forward to reading your story Sarah on the couple who approched you on te beach. I also am lookingforwar to read friendly13's long post. I have to get ready for work now. God Bless! Danny

@Scoff/Sarah - ok that was completely unfair Sarah! lol I was lulled into your post, was totally immersed, almost sitting on the edge of my seat peering into my pc screen for your delightful rendering and then... POOF!, you ceased with further details!! So you have my FULL attention and I'm anxious to hear (er, I mean read) more, and hopefully, the remainder of your tale. Thanks for sharing the intro portion.

Good morning to all: Well the Grand daughters are off to day camp, my daughter has started back to work part time, so (sigh) some alone time. I love them all so much, Hmm alittle quiet time is also nice. Scoff asked me about posting some of my political views, Ugg really would rather not go in that direction, I just feel this blog is not the place to express a political philosohy. With that being stated yes I proudly admit that I'am a very staunch Republican at the moderate level. Looking back some things to remember: between 1880 to 1910 most black white marriages were between white males/black females. As recorded, from very dim & questionable records. Jim Crow laws were intended to keep races apart, white men as well as black women. Through the years, most black people that I associated with, who had biracial features, claimed to have a white male some where in their background,or native American. With DNA reports most have been proven to be white European. Alright; what does this have to do with anything, The question is were these relationships casual, or true love,or even the results of forced,or in the worst case Rape. As a young black girl that un-intentally got invovled with a same age white male,(1964) in a segerated social order rural South Alabama. At that age being with someone that made your heart pound made the color line vanish, only to appear again when you stepped back in to reality. Oh my this will take to long to post, I don't want to bore you readers, so maybe later I can get my thoughts more in order for a shorter version. I know I've mentioned several times what raced through my mind after that first kiss with Scoff, Oh my God what will people think of me if they find out I kissed a white boy. That is how we were trained or programed during that time. ENOUGH; I just want to say hello and hugs to all my friends and younger Sisters God Bless Luv ya'll Sarah

hope i can meet a nice white man someday. kind of hard since all the black men around me think that is unacceptable. they think black women only belong to black men

oh check out Ray Fiennes in a little known movie of his called Onegin.I love it.It's about a man who doesnt have time for a young girl who falls in love with him. He passes her off because at the time she tells him of her feelings she is quite young. His character Onegin is quite Scrooge-like in his mannerisms and attitude. The sad part is that this was his ONE chance at true love but it is too late. The young girl is played by Liv Tyler. She moves on devastated at his rejection and marries someones else but she will not break her vows with her husband even though she still loves Onegin and is trapped in a arranged marriage, miserable. I mean it is sooo intense he nearly loses his mind because he realizes that was his one in a life time chance at love. He can neither go back to his old ways of coldness and seriouseness nor can he have her. It is kind of dismal but the intensity of the acting is FLAWLESS. It makes you feel their regret.
