Why white men love the black woman

Posted by James, 31 Aug

Ever wondered why some white guys, love black women so much?

It seems that being a white male and proclaiming your attraction to black women (not only sexually, but also romantically) may lead to a lot of controversial and dangerous things. Let’s leave the debate of why more black women may be opening themselves up to white guys. The main focus of this debate is: why some white guys are opening themselves to black women. Let’s concentrate on that.

Find your soulmate on AfroRomance

Most white males don’t feel like they are running short of white women to marry. White males just marry at high rates. So question is: Why black women? The thing is it will not be fair to bundle up black women as one since everyone is their own person… be it in appearance or personality.

However, one thing that a white male friend of mine said… and I let him get away with bundling it all up is: “We love a black woman's confidence, her tenacity and her undeniable achievements in the face of great adversity...᾿ Since this info was coming from a man, there was definitely the mention of the lips, the curves, and that wonderful skin as well.

So what about stereotypes like “black women are either sexually conservative or total sluts?" Many people give so much lip service to interracial dating sites. You would think they have never done it. But those uptight individuals are the ones that spread these stereotypes. What happened to the highly educated black woman? How about the caring, decent and involved black woman?

Probably most white guys and others are confused with the stereotypical trash people spread around and if you are one that falls for such lame ol’ lines, then you sure as hell haven’t dated a black woman.

Bottom line, you don't have to sacrifice who you are for a white guy. They will love you anyway. Just be you and open yourself up… and if you like white guys, some white guy will find you too.

@ lovecrazy Welcome aboard. You might want to sign-up with this sight because there are probably some attractive white men in your area just for you. I bet there are white men in your area that think the way you do...that there is no hope because of it being in the south. But remember some of the first interracial relationships and love affairs occured in the south with wealthy white men falling in love with black women. The good thing is that now it is not illegal to be in an interracial relationship. I have seen several men from the south listed on this sight. I'll be honest, I have even been approached...but they were just too far away. Post your picture and you will get responses...just try it and see.

Good day all. OK just a few 'housekeeping' comments. I owe, I owe, so its off to work I go. Nice seeing a recent post form you @Scoff/Sarah. I enjoyed viewing the thoughts you shared @DaveinGeorgia. Welcome to the blog @GreyEyedLady. @friendly13 -Yes it was identical to the one in the photo...perhaps even larger. Thanks! lol As for Steve Martin, I enjoyed him as a comic but never cared for his acting-movie roles and never saw but a few, brief takes of ”Bringing Down The House”. @lovecrazy -I cannot comment (nor relate) to your past experience(s), but being a 'neighbor' (LA), I would merely encourage you to continue the pursuits of your heart. There are plenty of non-"trashy" (your classification, not mine), southern guys that find non-Caucasian women both attractive and appealing. Have an awesome day and week everyone!

Oh, I thought of another movie that just had me dying laughing...."Bringing down the house" with Steve Martin, Queen Latifah, Eugene Levy. That Steve Martin really plays that awkward white man role to a T. The interracial love intrest that the character played by Eugene Levy is the couple that made me think of the movie in regard to the discussion prompted by Nawlunzguy.

Stopping by just to add my comments about inter racial romance & movies or books. I recently read the book Cane River I think most you will find it very interesting. It's more of a historical fiction, with some family recollections, excellent old family pictures. Just makes sense of who we are, how we became what we are, Black/White plus all that are some where in the middle. Again I have known a few families that researched their hertiage, & Hmmmmmm found our some not so plesant facts. Thats just America, thats what make us great. Love & Blessings to All Sarah

after being married to and divorced from a white woman i have found myself being very attracted to black women for sometime now. over the last two years i have dated 5 black women from various economic and educational backgrounds and have found them to be more driven than most of the white women i have dated. they also seem to be more courteous and lady like, and conderned with their appearance. these are traits that are very appealing to me. i enjoy it when a lady actually appreciates being treated to dinner or even something as simple as a nice walk or an ice cream. i also enjoy being made to feel special and a couple of these ladies have treated me better than any white woman i have ever met. i have really enjoyed some of my dates and who knows i may end up finding a nice black woman to settle down with one day.

Hello Every One! I'm new to this site and I was reading your comments. And I like them all. I felt a lot of positive energy; except for one. And it was made by Boots. He was full of negativity and hatred towards the other race. I don't understand why is he still stuck in the past and not trying live for a better life? I believe he needs some serious therpy. I had my share in men of some races and I was happy.I would like to say holla to Tatted2Death for her wisdom. God Bless You All-- Goodnight

@friendly13 I did not know that the classification of race system was different in the U.S. In my country it is how you look. Like me,I look all black, but I am half black and half Native Indian, when you seem me in person you know something is there but you can't put your finger on it lol! True that about mixed people representing both sides of the family now, over here they boast lol,you would here well my family have negro,or East Indian,or white or even the all time favorite...Hispanic,lol! Over here everybody have hispanic in them!!! On Wednesday I am going to the dvd store and see what other interracial films they have out there... Oh yes I just remembered this one called 'Skin' It was a shot in south africa,it was not about interracial coupling as we were tackling, but about race classification and romance, quite interesting movie!

@Ms M. I hear you on the politicos. I'm going rogue. Hehehehehehe. I've been center all my life. But I think it's time they change our legislature make up. 2 repping Senators from each state was good in the beginning. The country now has 350MMM folks and more reps need to be added. I call for a constitutional amendment doggone it. Say, 5 reps for each state. Ooops, but then the other side will say government is too big. Dang. No more politics talk here from me. I just wanted to reply to you.

@Nawlunzguy Right now I am reading "Don't Bring Home A White Boy" by Karyn Langhorne Folan. Jenna I loved that movie Strange Days. He was so oblivious to the fact that she loved him, and the ending was great. Restaurant with Adrien Brody, Simon Baker Denny, Lauryn Hill and Elise Neal. Zebrahead, Monsters Ball, 3 Way was good because the female lead was smart, (Joy Bryant and Dominic Purcell) Beseiged with Thandie Newton and David Thewlis. Mr. and Mrs. Loving with Lela Rachon and Timothy Hutton and of course Something New Sanaa Lathan and Simon Baker Denny.

Thanks friendly13, and Dannyco56 for answering my questions. To PetiteChick, it just seems like to me the Republicans are always saying things to the effect that Democrats "hate America" and want to destroy it and Democrats say the same thing about Republicans! Both parties want the best for America but in different ways. I don't agree with Republicans on everything but I do tend to lean more towards that party. But I understand everyone is coming from a different place. This is a nice forum because I see you guys respect everyones opinion and there is no name calling.

@ Jenna You know now that I think about it...it seems like more mixed people are speaking out about how they identify themselves. Before, I think society just put its stamp on them. But now they are like, hey I am both. There are some cases where they are so white looking that they just say...hey I look in the mirror and see a white person so I am just going to classify myself as white. I had a good friend who was...well his grandmother was white and his mother also had white in her family...all of his family members where so white looking. Well, he had a child with a white woman and the boy came out just white. Blue eyes, perfectly straight blonde hiar. Just a babydoll....the funny thing is that the child looked exactly like his father. But the father could not see that at first...all he could see was a white child. Because of the situation the child was classified as white. They did not make the distinction at the hospital. I think this happens a lot when couples are not married and the hospital does not see the other parent...if the child looks white they just put white. It is so cute to see them together because the child is a white version of himself. The dad is a babydoll too though and the mom is attractive. But the son looks just like the dad except his skin, hair, and eyes. Because the couple had white on both sides the baby got blue eyes and took mostly the white genes.

@ Jenna Oh yes, Aaliyah and Jet li in Romeo must die. Yes, I enjoy that movie too. It is funny how in this coutry we sometimes view interracial couples as black and white. But that is any couple that is from a different cultrual background. Yes, he is asian and she was black.

    @ Jenna Yes, Jennifer Beals does have one parent that is considered black and one parent that fall into the white classification. Actually, in this country the classification is determined by biological background and not the way people look....well, at least when it comes to people who have a black parents. My grandfather and his siblings are mixed race. My father is white complected but considered by society to be black. His aunts look white, but they married black men and are considered to be black. Of course there are a few for instances in history when blacks passed as white because society in their timeframe refused to make the distinction because they looked so white and especially if their fathers were white and of prominence. Elizabeth Keckley's son, George is a rare example of that. Elizabeth Keckley was the famous and successful dressmaker who befriended one of her prestigeous customers Mrs. Mary Lincoln, President Lincoln's wife. I believe Mrs. Keckley was also mixed as well because she looks white in her pictures. If you get a chance to read about her here is a link you may be interested in reading (retrieved on June 29, 2010 from http://books.google.com/books?id=X2GeBUmW_MgC&pg=PA361&dq=elizabeth+keckley's+son+passed+as+white&hl=en&ei=ipkpTI7yCIuHnQfS942oAQ&sa=X&oi=book_result&ct=result&resnum=3&ved=0CDMQ6AEwAg#v=onepage&q&f=false}

@friendly13 Yes I saw that too,Jennifer Beals is half white isn't she? So does that count as an interracial movie pairing, that answer to that question puzzles me,cause she looks full white! And we all know it is all about how you look . Hey what about Romeo must die,Omg I love Jet Li and Aaliyah so much, don't mind that they was not even a single kissing scene between the two major actors in the movie(Aargh)

Sorry for my recent absence all. I've been juggling so much lately I am contemplating a career change to 'circus act'. LOL I have 'felt the luv', however, and truly appreciate your sentiments. @friendly13 - awww, you are sooo sweet! Your 'white knight' has missed reading your thoughts as well. Still haven't located that dang stallion to come rescue my brown damsel, though. I had forgotten about The Bodyguard with Kevin & Whitney! Their separation (in the movie) elicited some watery eyes. (I'm a die hard romantic, what can I say?). The interaction between them seemed so natural, I almost expected to hear plans of a personal union in the tabloids. @tatted2death - Oh thanks for the supportive mention. Yes I was hoping to lure us all back to 'matters at hand', so-to-speak. And, no, I wasn't aware of your movie interest, but glad it triggered a positive response. I'll confess to having surreal jealous feelings if Sam and Zoe 'hook up'. I share similar sentiments about Zoe as @friendly13 does about Kevin C. LOL @Other Brother - 'Grats on the successful relo. If you ever need any help with the real estate market, give me a shout. I'm a Broker and licensed in several states (sorry for the shameless plug, er I mean networking). @nusula - Welcome and sincere wishes for finding your soul mate, friend, partner... @bigeyes31 - You're VERY welcome. @RICK HAYES - Best wishes to you as well as you seek your soul mate, friend, partner... And to @dannyco56, @PetiteChick, @Jenna, @Scoff/Sarah, @Hannes72 - as always, hello and warm wishes to you all of you who view and/or post. -Disclaimer: my apologies if I have overlooked anyone; it was definitely unintentional. @ Tatted2death and nawlundzguy Oh, I thought of anotherone, this is a really old one...the Body Gaurd with Whitney Houston and Kevin Costner (I would kiss him on the lips too!). Keving Costner is such a babydoll. I think the chestry between them was just too real. The music from that movie is great too. "I will always love you by Dolly Parton sung by Whitney Houston (retrieved on June 27, 2010 from http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=19rC-Fl-KwM on ) and "I have nothing..."(retrieved on June 27, 2010 from http://www.youtube.com/watch?)v=3cjV5dTaE6U&feature=related) great videos. Yeah, Nawlunz.... I heard the same thing about the on-set chemistry between Zoe and Sam.....that would be a fine match if you ask me...LOL. I also must give an old-school honorable mention to ZEBRAHEAD (1992).....with Michael Rapaport and N'bushe Wright. Although the IR relationship was a focal point, it still was a strong, tight and REAL story driving it. Laters, Good People

Kudos to Nawlunz for the intro to a new sub-topic..... Dangit, man did you know I was a movie FIEND or what???....lol. I talked about Strange Days in here quite a while back. Ms. Basset seems to enjoy the company of some fine "lighter-skinned" brothers in quite a few of her movies (Supernova w/James Spader and Peter Facinelli, The Score w/ Robert DeNiro, etc). She is wonderful in all her roles and props must also go to the screenwriters here because they manage to have the IR aspect NOT be the focus of the plot.......LOVE IT. There is another one that I think is definitely near (if not on top) the top of the list for me. THE LAST PLACE ON EARTH (circa 2003?)......it stars Tisha Campbell (of "Martin" and "My Wife and Kids") and Dana Ashbrook. I won't divulge the plot but it is a tear-jerker....so don't forget the box o' Kleenex. Peace and Blessings....and Happy Blockbuster Night...(lol) tatted2death

I have always done long ones and was slightly intimidated by the short weaves because you actually have to "jump"the short styles like this."jump" is using actual electric or barbers clippers to smooth out the back just like you are cutting your own hair. Now that I have done it,Im not so intimidated. I Placed all my hair underneath a stocking cap,lol and glued the tracks on the cap, lol. I just remember someone blowing their brains out infrong of everybody. Yes, that is true the car didn't stop. The movie is good but sad. There was a lot of sexual intensity in the movie. Billy bobs character starts of soliciting his regular prostitute. Basically before he meets Halle's character his love life is null. Seems like Halle's character's live was also.

@friendly13 It has been a while since I watched Monsters Ball but I think if I remember it right Billy Bob Thorton and his Son (Heath Ledger) are guards in a prison. I think it is maximum security prison and they are involved in taking Halle Berry's husband to be exicuted. Then I a not sure the which happens first but Billy Bob's son Heath Ledger commits suicide and Halle's son gets hit by a car and the car does not even stop. Now those two things I may have backwards. I think Billy Bob puts his father into a nursing home or a retirement home because he doesn't except Halle. I think that is what happens. Ten towards the end Halle finds out that Billy Bob was one of the last people to see her husband before he was executed. I think it endswith them back together but I am not sure I am goingto have to watch it again. Maybe tonight! God Bless! Danny

@bigeyes31 I haven't seen Onegin either but sounds like a very sad and frustrating movie. There are probably many men and women that can relate to that movie. As far as a membership goes I think he (Rick) probably would be better off to add about 46 dollars and get a six month membership. Good reading a more recent post from you. God Bless! Danny
