Why white men love the black woman

Posted by James, 31 Aug

Ever wondered why some white guys, love black women so much?

It seems that being a white male and proclaiming your attraction to black women (not only sexually, but also romantically) may lead to a lot of controversial and dangerous things. Let’s leave the debate of why more black women may be opening themselves up to white guys. The main focus of this debate is: why some white guys are opening themselves to black women. Let’s concentrate on that.

Find your soulmate on AfroRomance

Most white males don’t feel like they are running short of white women to marry. White males just marry at high rates. So question is: Why black women? The thing is it will not be fair to bundle up black women as one since everyone is their own person… be it in appearance or personality.

However, one thing that a white male friend of mine said… and I let him get away with bundling it all up is: “We love a black woman's confidence, her tenacity and her undeniable achievements in the face of great adversity...᾿ Since this info was coming from a man, there was definitely the mention of the lips, the curves, and that wonderful skin as well.

So what about stereotypes like “black women are either sexually conservative or total sluts?" Many people give so much lip service to interracial dating sites. You would think they have never done it. But those uptight individuals are the ones that spread these stereotypes. What happened to the highly educated black woman? How about the caring, decent and involved black woman?

Probably most white guys and others are confused with the stereotypical trash people spread around and if you are one that falls for such lame ol’ lines, then you sure as hell haven’t dated a black woman.

Bottom line, you don't have to sacrifice who you are for a white guy. They will love you anyway. Just be you and open yourself up… and if you like white guys, some white guy will find you too.

@Scoff/Sarah... as always, the novel is a most enjoyable read and continues to keep me on the edge of my chair, longing for more. You missed your calling as a writer... I truly hope you will post more (LOTS more in fact) of your story. Hi @Zetta2010 - welcome to the site, thanks for posting your thoughts, and I am personally happy to learn the blog interests you.

Hello All, Don't mean to mess up the flow you have going on here, but I was googling about white men and black women relationships the other day as my choice in men, as of late, has totally changed and this conversation thread came up. Perhaps I have always been attracted to white men as I grew up around them all my young life, but it never seemed that they would ever be interested (or at least openly show interest) in a black girl, especially in a school where I was the only African American in my class for years, or every time I saw an interracial relationship that consisted of a white man/black woman I would notice that the black woman was of beautiful darker skin so I just thought that is the only way white men would be attracted to a black woman, as I felt they never noticed me. so I put it on the back burner of my mind. But lately I find myself observing and studying my white brothers and I get an excitement inside that I have never felt before. I feel a connection and strong attraction that I don't want to hold back anymore. So I came here looking for people that understand, and after reading what you all have to say about it I have learned alot already.

Hi Everyone, I finally checked out the posting for Dan Lappard and the pic was gorgeous. They look content and in Love. The remarks that were listed are horrible and degrading from racist ignorant people from all walks of life, black, brown, white, yellow or green, straigth or gay. I could not stand to read them. How could people be so insensitive towards a couple who was just married and proclaimed their love to the world... @ tattered2death I would not say that if I see a handsome white man or non-black man I would lust after him bec. lust is to strong of a term to use. I won't mind getting to know him or wouldn't mind speaking to him but LUST just sounds to sinful as if I was willing to just into bed with him immediately, and a lot of mature black women are not going to do that, at least I won't. You may call me a prude if you like. @ Neyo I would say to take it slow in your new relationship as you should do when starting any type relationship with a man of your own race or nationally. The colour of their skin doesn't matter, the content of their heart matters the most and he is just a man, men will be men, black or white he still can be a Tricky D*ick. Just be careful and if it doesn't feel right just bail. But I wish you the best of Luck.

@ DarqBeauty When I read your story I also think of Scoff/Sarah. Very touching. Love transcends looks and color. I like the song "when a man loves a woman" because it speaks of the unconditional love. I think it is so touching that you stick by your husband through all that he is going through. He is truely blessed to have you and you him.

@ Rich Hayes Question: Are you looking for sex or intimacy? If you are just looking for sex that may be the problem. You are going to have to let the woman (no matter what color she is) get to know you and like you. Then she is going to have to feel like you really care about her and love her with an unconditional love to find intamacy. The best thing about an intimate relationship is that the only thing you need to give is your heart.

Question that dannyco posed a couple of days ago....."Here is another question I have to everybody. Have you ever seen someone of the opposite sex that took your breath away? Do women ever lust after someone from the opposite sex or do you ladies think it is just men? I am looking for honesty here and I am going to be the first to give an honest answer." Danny, you should know better than than, man......women have those sort of hormones just like men. Whoever started that nonsense that women are not as easily "visually stimulated" as men was just blowing smoke. I know I am NOT the only woman that enjoys that "EYE CANDY" just as much if not more than the candy for the taste buds. I see plenty of dudes that make me silently go "WhEEEEEEW", but I am in tune with myself enough to know that that alone is not all it takes for me to be truly turned on......so most times I say nothing or just wink and keep it moving (depending on the circumstances, time, place, etc.). Maybe that's the difference.....alot of men seem to have trouble keeping their mouths shut when they see a good-looking woman pass by....and sometimes they do more than just drool and get whiplash and end up saying the "wrong thing"....lol. Not all men are like this but summertime seems to bring out the worst.....LMAO. Peace and Blessings tatted2death

Made me think the little ruckus that gets stirred up here time and again is NOTHING. Some the "rough-necks" here are PUSSYKATS compared to those NUTZ.....LMAO. But then again I could picture a few here getting that IGNORANT....with NO SENSE OF HUMOR....and losing whatever mind they had before they got here.....it's come pretty close before. Glad (most of) our special brand of nutz are at least a little tamer than that....LMAO. Peace and Blessings tatted2death

Walking Home My mind swirled with shame for feeling something for a white boy. Calming myself I collected my thoughts into one neat package, it was just a one time encounter, besides white and black people shouldn't be togeather. Besides that white boy probably could care less about a colored girl, and I really could care less about a white boy. The thirty minutes I took to walk home I had this deep mental game playing in my head, colored white-white colored, let it go. I have a new day to start in the morning. Walking in the kitchen my Mother questioned me about being so late, of course I explained I was scared to walk home with all the lighting popping around so I just read my book until the storm passed. Like most Mother's she raised an eye brow as she asked and you were my your self? With out a blinking an eye, I quipped back, just the last 30 minutes, she seem satisfied, as she continued fixing supper. Tuesday morning Fully awake and excited to get to work, alittle extra time with my hair, and a little more risque top, no straw hat or oversized shirt, of course I had them tucked in a bag because I knew Moma would ask why I didn't have them on. Looking in the mirror, I suddenly thought why are you doing this, that white boy will never speak to you again. As I walked to work the whole mental game started all over, should I just ignore him if does speak, or should I speak first, shaking my head I mumbled Sarah your 16 years old and your acting like a 12 year old with her first crush. With out realizing it I had already walked the distance to the packing shed, and as if on automatic pilot I was standing in line at the sign in sheet. Then I heard this voice, Sarah how are you this morning, turning around their was Scoff right behind me. Stammering out some sort of reply I quickly signed in, walking to my packing station I glanced back to see Scoff loading up crates and boxes to take around to the girls. I noticed he was smiling and joking with all the girls, and Damn if I didn't get a little jealous. Again I had do a reality check, I knew then that I liked him. Scoff approached me with an arm load of boxes, not even thinking I quickly walked to him to remove some so he could see where he was walking. Smiling he leaned over to me as he thanked me, then whispered could I help him with his math at lunch time he would be at the fish pond. As Scoff mentioned earlier the mateing dance was on lololo. Love & Blessings Sarah

Drama & Love As we all have encountered in our lifes as some point in time, Love does not come with out Drama, sometimes we can over come it. Then as in the worst case scenero,Drama comes in focus to the extent, their is no love left. Not to say that certain men and women I believe actually go out to find someone with baggage and or problems to create drama. Now your asking what has this to do with inter-racial dating, think is that person dating me because of the drama or taboo that comes with a mixed relationship or is their a true love and a desire to be with that person. Just a few thoughts to think about, I have know male and female friends get out of one bad relationship, then before you know it they are right back with a different person with more problems. Love Sarah God Bliss My thoughts walking home (next post)

@lovecrazy - my intent was to add humor not to challenge your motives or interests. That's the one drawback to text on a pc screen - no voice inflection. You did not come across as uppity nor a perfectionist. Personal traits you'll likely learn about me include: I'm open-minded and non-judgemental. I respect everyone's opinion; whether I agree may be a different matter, but I am not confrontational.

Hello everyone especially Petite! I didnt forget the compliments sister! Thank you lol. Nikkle and Petite, I think that it is UNDERSTOOD that this is not a forum for true debate, nevertheless people use that term loosely and it is acceptable to do so. As we all know a discussion of differing opinions could be considered a debate by some,an argument by others,so on and so on. Petite I like that "racking up the prizes" comment,LOL.I have won a few myself on this board! Also I loved the "dubya, dubya dot" comments on another board. I was cracking up laughing. I just had enough time to check in but not post. LOL Anyways, Nikkle and Petite we have JUST gotten a little taste of peace around here, lol. Let's savor it. Welcome Ms. Nikkle.Share your experiences with us about interracial dating, please.I see your fire, lol. I noticed that people with that same "fire" seem to gather here, lol. I know you ladies will work it out Peace

Good point - I always say there's a difference between "being perfect" and simply being "perfect for me". The former implies perfection and without blemish; the latter implies acceptance, tolerance, love.

@ looking4life I think that cosmetic surgery has its place as far as people who need reconstructive surgery when something has been damaged or when there are deformitys that keep a person from living a normal life or cause a psychological distraction. But when I see a beautiful person who doesn't appreciate their beauty and keeps getting things improved that don't need to be improved I think that is a sickness that plastic surgeons capitalize on. The risks involved are so great. The singer/rapper Kanye Wests mother died an untimely death due to her desire to improve. I thought she was so beautiful the way she was, especially for her age. She wasn't fat and she was very pretty. But for some reason she felt she needed head to toe cosmetic surgery and she lost her life. On the other hand I think the procedure is great for reconstructive and legitamate medical purposes. Like if a woman loses her breast due to cancer, she can have reconstructive surgery if she chooses to. I think the biggest reason for rich people getting cosmetic surgery is because they struggle with signs of aging. They also want to appear perfect when in reality noone is physically perfect. We all have some physical short coming.

You could find me at Lowe's home improvement store often in the treated lumber section or looking for deck screws. Lol...but so true. I also love to grill so you may find me at the grocery store looking for sales in the meat section....

looking4life, Great point. I thought I was the only who felt the way I do about fake breast until I heard Mel Gibson's controversial phone recording. Vanity comestic surgery only masks a more serious problem with women that I don't have time for. It's amazing how many women have outstanding student loans and a fresh pair of silicon chest-icles at the same time. Not smart.

ok ladies, its like this, the women you see on magazine covers dont usually look like that in nature. why do you think plastic surgery is such a profitable business?? a happy confident woman who can happily accept herslf as she is, is far more attractive. a few extra pounds means very little in the grand scheme of things. self acceptance is far more important and attractive than an insecure scrawny little girl with an eating disorder. and last i will say yes to love cazy being a real woman is in the eye of the beholder.

-@mecca77 - I offer you my most sincere and profound apologies! Inadvertently I somehow overlooked you. Please forgive me. Hold on...OK, now I'm on bended knee with clasped hands. Hmmm, how 'bout next time you're in Acadiana, I treat you to a local delicacy: crawfish? @Bamababe2k9 - Yes I was trying to "help" ol' Rick there. I know many of us wouldn't mind some "bedroom sports" with a selective partner (emphasis on selective). Personally, I wouldn't go out on a limb to pimp myself. But that's just me. -As for the Ms. Berry comment, I'm curious how you might classify the body types of Ms. Beyonce' or Zoe Saldana. I still believe that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Each nationality does offer certain characteristics. Seeking a very tall Asian woman would be a little difficult for instance. That being said, if someone passes me over because they're seeking muscles and 6-pack abs on a gent, so be it. C'est la vie (that's life) as we say here. - As for the Def Leopard news link, I was more taken back by the amount of negative feedback (not all - but a good majority) from the BM/BW who posted their thoughts. Some were downright mean. @lovecrazy - If you discover how to "mix-n-match", let me know. I'm not sure if they make those "inflatable dolls" in a male version... not sure about their personality, but likely to be the "quiet" type. A Japanese firm has 'perfected' a female android: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=091ugdiojEM Perhaps they're working on a male version. -Just a thought. @e-dub - I have not seen your posts prior to this one. If you're new on the scene, welcome! I agree with you that searching will ultimately produce results if you're diligent and constant doing so. However, I didn't quite understand the reference to stringy blond hair and the relationship to finding a suitable mate. I'd prefer not to assume; would you kindly elaborate? As for IR dating ever becoming "fashionable", who cares what others think? OK, if friendly asks for me, tell her I stopped by... LOL Take care all. Enjoy the remainder of your weekend!

thankx for that input everyone it was just a question that arosed it truly is in the eye of the beholder @ whoever ..what makes a women a "real women" is that also in the eye of the beholder @dannyco56 I'm catching up on post I saw the question you ask about if I saw a guy at like a gas station or whatever what would attract me to them gosh I was at chili's yesterday and I must say I saw the most beautiful dark and handsome white man I'd ever seen he was tall very musclar his eyes were greenish brown his voice was amazing to say that men are the only ones that see with the eyes wouldn't be fair at all I want lie I do.. there has to be a physical attraction there or I want usually "see" a person I mean they're personality doesn't give off a ray not unless I've knwn them for a while... I usaually am attracted to the inshape dark and tall white guys with those dreamy hazel eyes yep:) my family calls me a guy half the time but I honestly think guys and gals see the same women just aren't as subtle well I kinda am but:) ...i do sometimes wish that I could put together the perfect guy from the awesome guys I know some have the lookx but not the personalitiy others have the personality but not the looks is there a "createaman.com" lol I'm totally kiddin God has that perfect guy I know it so I'm good.

Unfortunately, women on magazine covers and TV come in and out of fashion like bubble gum wrappers: silicone boobs, heroin sheik, women who like boys (Can anyone say Alley McBeal?), girls who mack on other girls. Poor Jane Mansfield couldn’t get arrested in Hollywood today. I doubt, however, I will ever see black and white dating be the fashionable. That said, if you look long enough and hard enough you can find the right person, the person you can love and person who will love you in return no matter how big of a jack-ass you are on any particular day. The one thing, I can almost guarantee is that if you think you’re going to find it with some stringy blond hair stuck on top of it—you won’t. G-d has a sense of humor and G-d doesn’t like stupid people if you can’t see the blessings G-d has cast before you. If you turn nose up just because the best thing that ever happened to you came in the wrong wrapping paper you deserve a long tough life.

Good Morning ladies and Gentleman. Thank you Naw for the compliment yesterday and for hooking Rick up,he has been begging her for MONTHS lol. Good luck with that Rick hope you got your check book ready. I agree with Sam. I always thought American men have been brain washed into believing that the only beautiful women out there have to be the Halle Berry type. Nothing wrong with Halle and my skinny sistas, but I chuckle when I read some post by white men seeking "slim" sistas. I wrote my own ad on another site and this is what was said: I've been noticing that a lot of you have interest in dating sistas but the problem is, most of you are looking for the Halle Berry waif type and I just wanted to break the news to you: Most sistas are of the thick and of the full figured variety. Now, nothing against my skinny sistas they are very beautiful but I just wanted some of you guys to be realistic. If you plan on dating a black woman, understand most of us have curves. We either have a bubbled butt, big boobs or thighs and maybe a little tummy. Also realize that those thick, full figured sistas like me who you turn down know how to get down in the kitchen and are sexy as hell outside of it as well. Now I know there are some of you already saying to yourselves your big ass needs to lose weight, but I've always noticed the guys who say that never show a pic of themselves because they are probably fat or ugly too. Anyway, I just thought I'd give some of you some advice on your journey in finding that perfect black women by saying give us big girls a chance too. Life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you are going to get but we'll help you eat the chocolates so you can find out. :) Ironically, I got a lot of positive reponses from it (one in particular)but I've said this in the past, the white men who TRULY love black women, love ALL of us not just the thin ones or the fat one's, they love us in general. Anyway, that's my two cents.

Lovecrazy, I can speak just for myself, but for me it is not about the size. I think this "petite" and "slim" thing is mainly american thing across the board, white or black. Media over there and even over here promotes one specific body type as beautiful. It is propaganda, bull****, and lies. Men like all kinds of women. What I've seen in Europe white men are going out with all kinds of black women, some slimmer, some bigger. Personally I don't care that much about the size but personality. If a woman, black or white, is a good natured and self respecting, has a good sense of humor, healthy self esteem, I like that. Good looks is bonus and even good looks is not the same as being "petite" or "slim". Queen Latifah is a damn good looking black woman and she is not "petite". And something to think about: Marilyn Monroe would be considered as overweight by todays standards and nobody can convince me that she was not good lookin. I've met some very attractive black women who have been bigger than the norms media promotes and I've seen some very good looking black women who are not slim or petite in anyway. So beauty is in the eye of beholder I guess.

@Rick Hayes - I thought I would help you out. Since you're in Austin, TX check out Aaliyah's Escorts. Here's a link to their site: http://aaliyahsladies.com/, and a YouTube video from what i would guess is one of their "representatives": www.youtube.com/watch?v=zsRxpxxkFi8&feature=fvw I'm not sure what you may have to "GIVE", but seeing that you are open to "virtually anything", I'm sure you can learn more about the "services offered".
